fuzmeister: Helibomber SDX Released!
My sort-of-new S&F project has been released! Check it out here! While it's nothing super-fresh, it was good to actually develop and release something again.

There is still the issue of the bigger S&F project I've been working on since last June on and off... I may go back to working on that next OR possibly do another port/rewrite of an older S&F game as none of our old games seem to work on modern PCs.

fuzmeister: Direction(less)
There's a lot of things I want to do, but I'm having trouble sort of working out the details of how to do them.

Maybe it's an issue of prioritizing things. It might be an issue of even knowing how to approach the things I want to do.

Sometimes, I guess, you just have to dive in and see what happens.

fuzmeister: I'll See Your Post and Raise You A Post of My Own
I feel like too much time passes these days between Vent posts. I am including myself in that statement as well. However, what can you expect with micro social media, smartphones, and toilet seats that automatically tweet our bathroom activities?! OK - that last one is false, but I do believe it is coming in the near future.

I guess, at its core, keeping up with a blog or any social media type service is essentially catering to your own ego. I try to make a conscious effort to legitimately provide information on little projects one or two of you may be interested in though.

With that being said, I am working on a new game dev project. I posted some vague words a month or so ago. I didn't (and still don't) want to get ahead of myself, so I'm avoiding providing a lot of information just yet. For example, don't ask me what capacity it will be released in, because I simply just don't have the answer yet. Right now, it's just me working on stuff, so it's slow going. I'm really happy with what's been done thus far though and, hopefully, I'll be able to provide more concrete information by the end of the year.

I'm also trying to balance writing new demos for the next Steve Thompson album. I have a handful of demos completely done and, I have to say, things are sounding fairly interesting. I've felt a lot of inspiration from The Beatles' self-titled (white) album which just has a total hodge-podge of styles between songs. Expect an album that is much smaller in scope, but hopefully equal in terms of sonic diversity. I'm shooting for a 2014 release, but I feel like it's never good to plan things too rigidly.

The hardest part is balancing everything listed in addition to the whole day job thing. That's a drag, mang.

fuzmeister: Oh! Sweet Irony!
Does anyone else realize the irony of posting something on the internet, but prefacing it by saying "I don't want to give too much away?"

Well, I don't want to give too much away, but I've been hard at work on a little pet project the past two weeks. It's game development related and separate from my musical pursuits. I'll probably start rolling out some gradual details soon... in fact, why am I even writing this now?

I guess sometimes the mood just strikes and you have to strike back... hard.

fuzmeister: Towel Physics
Why hasn't there been an FPS in a department store with towel physics? I'm talking accurate representations of every towel in JCPenney... this question occurred to me today while at the mall.

Discuss.
